Flashback Friday Repost Challenge #14

6 Aug 11
Flashback Friday
Challenge #14

For this challenge, Flashback Friday want you to repost an old project.  The first gift card holder that you ever made.  I made this one last Sept for a teacher my daughter had that was getting married.  My picture taking wasn't all that good back then and I didn't even take a pic of the inside.  But if you look closely, you can see the the tag that pulls out.  Instead of using this card for a gift card, my daughter wrote a note and I attached the some ribbon to pull it out.  I hope this card counts.

OSAAT #68 Collab Wedding/Sympathy

Challenge #68
Wedding/Sympathy

http://www.onestopcardcrafts.co.uk/

Our sponsor this week is One Stop Card Crafts.  The lucky winner gets a $10 voucher to the store.

WOW!!  Can't believe it's Sunday already...you know what that means??  Time for another challenge from OSAAT.  This week we want to see either a wedding or sympathy project.  This week is a collaboration from all the designers.  Which means all the designers have to do digi's or papers to fit the theme.  I got Toucan Scraps "Congratulations" words.

**NOTE** If you saw the Flower Picking Box that I made by mistake, this is the right way I was suppose to do this challenge.

I made a wedding card (well because, you can't really do sympathy with the congrats word).  I used some silver card stock in two shades, black and white card stock.  I tried to keep it simple.  I had the champagne bottle digi already and warmest wishes stamp.  All the embellies I kept in white with pearls and some pearl sprays.  The champagne bottle digi hides the spot where you can put money or a gift card.  You can find both digi's here at Stitchy Bear Stamps.
Recipe-digi's Toucan Scraps "Congratulations" and Sylvie's Stamps "Champagne Bucket", stamp-Stampendious, paper Creative Imaginations "Elegance", pearls-Kaiser Crafts, dies-labels, paper-scraps.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Wedding Box

A friend of mine wanted me to make a wedding card for her (it's so much easier if someone just picks out one that I've already made-umph).

She gave me some colors, but it was kind of hard to get exact colors.  After tons of  emails (cause we don't really know each other, personally), this is what I came up with. I added some Perfect Pearls on the hard white part of the flower.  You can't tell on the far away pic, but you can on the closeup (sort of).  The flowers, beads, and silver metal leaves I got on clearance at our local craft store.  They we all parts of something else that I took apart.  Pretty clever, don't you think? haha

If you're wondering why I'm posting the just the box without the card is that I am waiting for ink for my printer to come in, so I can't print anything for the card.  I will post the card that goes with this when I am done.

Recipe:  paper-Bazzill, stickers-Stickopotomus,"Perfect Pearls" Ranger and the flowers, beads, and silver metal leaves are pieces of things that I took apart

 Wedding Card
I finally got my ink---yea.  I couldn't wait to get started on this project.  I had a deadline, so with making it and shipping time, I have to admit, I was a little worried.
When Heather gave me the poem she wanted to use for the card I knew this was the digi that I wanted to use.  It's from Floppy Latte Designs (who is part of Stitchy Bear Stamps).  I had a friend of mine put the poem inside the box, as I don't have any programs for this kind of stuff.  As with the box, the big white flower and the silver leaves was something I bought on clearance and took apart.  The middle little plastic flower parts I just got in the mail.  They're from Creative Charms.  They are blue but look sort of purple.
On both the inside and outside of the card, I used the same digi, but rotated it and added stickles and pearls.  Although you can't tell in the pic, I used the Spica markers in "buttermilk" for the little stamons (things in the middle of the flower-I think that's what they are called) and "sand" for the stems.  It gives them a little shimmer and added stickles to the center of  the flowers and edge of the frame in "diamond"   I added a piece of paper to the front of the slit on the middle section that I cut with both punches.  The ribbon is stash.

Recipe (for card) paper- Bazzill (2 shades of purple), digi-Floppy Latte Designs "Lily Frame", markers-Copics, at you "Spica", Marvy "Le Plume III-silver", American Crafts "Metalics", stickles-Ranger "diamond", punch-Martha Stewart "Botanical Scallop"and ribbon punch (unknown), pearls-Hero Arts "purple" and Kaiser Crafts "white", dies-Nesties "Labels 10", ribbon-stash

Incy Wincy #92 Wedding-Engagement

2 May 11 #92 Wedding-Engagement

This weeks sponsor is Karen's Doodles.  The lucky winner gets you choice of 3 digi's.

We had our choice of two digi's to work with.  One being a cutesy dog couple (which you will see what our wonderful DT came up using this) and this being the other.  Now normally, I would've gone cutesy, since that's what I'm more comfortable with, but I decided to step out of my comfort zone, instead.  And wow!  Did I surprise myself.  I think it came out really good.
Recipe-digi-Karen's Doodles, paper-Glitz "Vintage" (solid dark paper),  Floppy Latte Designs "Vintage" (bg paper-which I got from Stitchy Bear Stamps) and scraps, flowers and pearls-Prima "e." Flowers are sprayed with glimmer mist in "Coffee Shop" & " Graphite", and stickles in "Diamond" (on her dress, earrings, neck less, and hair piece).

We would like to welcome Nikki, known to the card land as darling ho, as a GDT member this month.  Make sure you say hi.
I'm entering this card into the following challenge:
 Simon Says-Anything Goes
Delightful Cahllenge-Distressing

Incy Wincy #60

Incy Wincy's challenge was to use all white, except for the image.  I used Bildmalarna's "Wedding" stamp.  The middle square I had to hand emboss (ouch), then added fringe and beaded trim to the edges.  The flowers are "Fabric Fanices" from Prima.  My last two..whaaa.
I'm also using this card for:
Stamping Scrapping Challenge --anything goes (as long as you use something that they sell in the store).

Week 67 – Special Monthly Challenge
Our challenge this month is ACETATE – you need to incorporate it into your project in any way you like, so it could be an acetate card like some of our more adventurous DT members have done, it could be an acetate pocket, a shaker card, an altered acetate container or even simply used as an embellishment (like I did lol).
The Prima flowers were Glimmer Misted in "Garden Fairy".  The acetate part is a Daisy d's Elelments.

Challenge #25 -Punch It out!
Now I'm sure we all have a punch or 2 in our craft supplies and I think they are one of my favourite tools. I love creating borders with mine.

Today is also release day so the DT have used 'Oh Happy Days' on all their creations.

The prize this week will be an image of your choice from the new collection 'Oh Happy Days'
I used Martha Stewart's Doily Lace punch for tis challenge.

Pixie Dust Studio Challenge

The challenge is:

'Use a Pearl on your projects'.  Most of the elements on my card are from the never endless supply of scraps.  Scrap paper & scrap ribbon.  The stamp is a digi stamp from Pixie Dust Studios, colored with Le Plume markers.  The flowers are Fabric Fancies fom Prima and the pearls are from Hero Arts.  This is another one I really like the way it turned out.

Scrap That's Color of the week for April 18-B&W

This is what I came up with for this weeks color challenge-B&W.  The paper is from Creative Imaginations "Elegance" line, stamps are Hero Arts & Stampin' Up, ink is "Royal Silk" from Colorbox, and the embossing powder is Stamp n Stuff in "Kaleidoscope".  Enjoy...

Wedding card

This was another great challenge over at SS.  There's a gift card holder on the inside of the card.  This was a great tutorial from Diane.  Since I don't do gift cards, I made mine for a teacher of my daughter's that was getting marrried.  Paper is from Creative Imaginations "Elegance" line, the "congrats" word was stamped with colorbox and embossed with kaleidoscope and  I replaced the gift card on the inside with a note written in gel pens, written by my daughter and embossed with the same thing.  The little part that's sticking out on the right side is where the tag is in the slot.  Sorry I don't have of pic of the inside.
