Feb 6th Bugaboo (Love-pink, black & white)

6 Feb 11
Challenge #132
Recipe (1 image, 2 pp, 3 embellies)

Although we are already in the month of February, this is actually the first challenge that I have done this year.  All of my other cards I finished at the end of last year and had them set to post, so I haven't done anything crafty this year!  I came down with a bad case of Walking Pneumonia for the whole month of January!!  I have to say, it feels good to be finally getting well and back to doing crafts again!

OK- now on to this weeks challenge at Incy Wincy Designs.
With Valentine's Day coming up, that's what we want you to do this week, but only using the colors white, black and pink.  We got to use Bugaboo digi's for this weeks challenge, so I had to use non other than the fab Stella!!  I colored and cut her out, sticking her on a piece of white cs that I cut out using the "Lattice Rectangle" die with stickles on the edges.  The ribbon is from my stash, tag is from Cosmo Cricut, one of the first craft kits I ever bought and hearts I got from my friend, Elaine.
Winner gets 7 digi's!!

Incy Wincy #76

10 Jan 11

This week we are "Going Dotty".

We are being sponsored by Bug-A-Boo Stamps. Jodi let each of us pick out the stamp we wanted to use for our cards this week.  My favs are Stella & Gus.  They totally crack me up.
Since I didn't have one for get well, I went with this one. The green & white polka dot paper is from Scenic Route.  I'm not sure where the other one came from.  Flowers are Prima.  I embossed the edges in "broken china" distress ink.

I'm also entering this card into the Bug-a-boo challenge: "Emboss It".  (I embossed the edges of the words-I hope dry embossing counts).

Don't forget to check out what the other DT members did: Heather, Chris, Nikki C, Carla, Jenny, Linda, Nikki F, Sarah, Shelley, & Val (our guest designer for Jan)

FTTC #85

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC85)!Posted by: Betty Wright

September 20th, 2010

This week Dee Jackson is the challenge host. Dee is challenging us to create Celebration cards!

This came out as perfect timing, since one of the guys my husband works with at the PO is retiring.  Actually, he has brain cancer and hasn't worked for awhile, but his "official" party is tomorrow.
I decided I wanted to make something different than a regular card, so I made a tri-fold card.
The font is called "Griffen".  On the middle page, I knew I wanted to use this image, but it was just to figure out how to incorporate it.  It was a free digi.  I do apologize to the owner, as I didn't mark down where I downloaded it from.  On the last part-well, what can you say?  It just went with the rest of the card.  I got the image from Bug-a-boo Digi's.  I love Jodie's characters.
I can't take credit for the witt, though.  The expression came from Retirement Sayings and Quotes.

Crafters Digi Art Center

I found this new site called "Crafters Digi Art Center" (CDAC).  This was a holiday/special occasion challenge and you had to use the image.  I used paper from MME  (I love this set) and added stickles, rhinestones, and glass glaze on the mistletoe.
You can find the digi here.  The challenge is being sponsored by Bug-a-boo Digi's.  I love Jodi's images.  I have tons of them.  Thanx Jodie for this one.

It’s Time for Another Challenge!

Welcome to our 2nd Challenge for the month. For this challenge we decided to so a two fold challenge. Our Theme is “Male Call: and it is also a sketch challenge. I know I know two fold makes it harder however it is a challenge right?! Here is the sketch you use to complete the challenge:
The top pic is the outside, middle right is the inside, middle left is the sketch, and the bottome right is the middle.  The stamp is from Bugaboo, paper & ribbon is scraps the inside middle is flowers by Prima with initial brads that spell out "DAD".  I broke up the sketch into two parts.  I hope it's ok for the challenge, bu I like it.

Basic Grey Challenge

More challenges....this one is a Basic Grey one and for the challenge we had to use punches.  My BG paper is from the "Wisteria" collection and my punch is from Martha Stewart and it's the "Doily Lace" one.  I used it on the sides of two papers.  The digi stamp is from Bugaboo.  Isn't she just too much?  And for those of us how have teenagers, we know what she's talking about, don't we? haha
