One Stitch At A Time Challenge

Challenge #53-Glitter & Gems
 13 March 11

Ever since Stitchy Bear Stamps sponsored Incy Wincy, I have been totally addicted to the digi's and papers. I use them constantly on alot of different challenges.  I hate to admit is though, this is the first time that I used them in this challenge.
I am getting lazy. I wait till the end of the week and then combine the challenges I want to do into one card because I'm getting backed up on cards that I haven't sold.  So that's what I did with this challenge.

Challenges:
Totally Stampalicious -use stamp w/beverage
Simon Says-birthday
Delightful Challenge-use green
Catch The Bug Challenge-Use Scallops

Recipe: papers-Crate Papers "Blue Hill" & Basic Grey "Wisteria", digi-Stitchy Stamps "Sudz",  die-scallop oval, rhinestones-"Creative Charms", flowers-K & Co and Prima "Sprites", green & diamond stickles, and the quote came from Bazzle.com.

I think I'm gonna put this one aside for my husbands birthday next month.  He'll be 54 (I think)..haha

Here's the inside...

Kenny K #29

Sketch

This weeks challenge was a sketch by Bev.  It helps
put a card together, but I always seem to have problems
not making the card look bulky, when it's lots of layers
(plus borders) need to be added to a card.  The image
is a Kenny K's January freebie
The paper is from Making Memories and scraps, "Double Heart Punch" is EK Success, and the stamp in the middle of the heart is from Stampin' Up.  I also added the brads to kind of keep it together and for the FTTC to "use hardware".

I'm made this card to also fit the following challenges:
FTTC #102-Use Hardware
Simon Says-Animal Antics

Simon Says 1-19

                                       Simon Says "Let's Play Bingo"

So, for this challenge its simple ! You just choose 3 items that are in a straight line and it can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal so for instance you could choose brads, lace and gems or punch/die cuts, flowers and gems - simple !    I went with the straight from bottom to top right-ribbon/glitter/gem.  Paper is MME's "Be Loved", letters-Basic Grey's "Lime Rickey", and chipboard-MME's "Laundry Line".
The digi is from Pixie Dust for the DT call.  I haven't decided wether or not I want to do another Design Team right now or not.

Oh, snow balls!!

Simon Says ,,,,,,,Silver/Blue/White ,,,,,,,,

I used a Bug-a-boo digi here.  I was planning on using this card for the Catch The Bug Challenge, but was late, so no go.  Seems to be the theme lately for me!!  Everything is from the stash.

Simon Says

I made this card a few days ago, but forgot to post it...whaaaa!!  I missed the deadline for the challenge, but thought I's post it anyways.

I used my favorite paper...Yes, it's Graphic 45-AGAIN.  You'll be seeing lots of it for the rest of Christmas.  Oh well, I guess i'll have to wait for the next one.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #80 (MMSC80)
As usual with MMSC there are two different sketch's to pick from. A fancy one and a plain one. I went with the fancy one this week. They are more challenging.

I got to use my new papers from Graphic 45's "Christmas Past". I added "yellow" stickles to the ribbon on the tree and "peeled paint" distress stickles to the tree.  Pearls were also added to the ribbons.

I made this card to also fit the following challenges:
FTTC-Christmas Card
Simon Says-Sparkle
                                          Bildmalarna-Use Red

Simon Says Challenge

November 3, 2010
Simon Says...... Are You All White ?!!

This week, our challenge is to make your project ALL WHITE the only color to be used should be on any image you decide to use.

These are extremely hard to do (at least for me)..
Usually I do a wedding card when i have to do all white challenges,  but I went with yes another Christmas card.  (I really need to quit on these for awhile, or I will be swimming in them).
I used a freebie from Meljens Designs.    OK-I was just corrected on who the digi came from.  My bad...it was not Meljen's but Sliekje's, instead. Sorry for the mistake.

I embossed the card using the "Holly Ribbons" embossing folder.  The tag is the "Labels" Nesties, pearls are from Kaiser Crafts and ribbon and bead string are scraps.

Here's a close-up of the digi and underneath is a close-up of the label.  I embossed it in white.

Since I used the Meljen's digi, I also decided to enter this card on her blog. It's to used 3 different shapes-square, oval, and flower shapes. (I hope "flower" counts as a shape)...haha

Stamping Scrapping Challenge

Monday Octtober 25th
Stamping Scrapping Ribbon Challenge
This challenge was to use ribbon.  I used scrap pieces in the corners of the card and used a matching piece to tie the card together.  I also got to use my new Cuttlebug to emboss the paper behind the image.  Since it's a new toy, I'll be using it alot.

I also am using this card for the following challenges:
FTTC #90 Challenge (anything goes)
Simon Says Challenge (use punches)-I used Martha Stewart's "Doily Lace" punch

This week Cindy Haffner is hosting. She is challenging us to a sketch she has designed.

Simon Says.....Halloween!

These are the two challenges I am using this card for.  I love the sketch..thanx Cindy.

The paper is from MME's "Spider Web" collection.  If it looks familiar, it's because I love to use it.  I like the fact that it's not the "typical" halloween colors.  Too bad House Mouse want's doing their halloween challenge, also.  The edges of both the card and the image were distressed in "Walnut Stain" distresss ink and the sentiment was stamped using letter stamps from Stampin' Up.

Simon Says Challenge

Wednesday, 22 September 2010                        Jay Jay's Sketch :-) Before moving on to this weeks challenge we have a sad announcement. Martine has decided to step down from the team :-( We are all very sad to see her go and hope that she will rejoin us again SOON !! Thanks for all your hard work and support Martine, we will all miss you xx

Moving on to our new challenge :-) We are pleased to welcome JAY JAY who will be joining us for the next 4 weeks :-) Jay Jay has also designed this fabulous sketch for us all to follow.
I used a stamp from Stampin Up called "Friends".  Everything else is from the never endig supply of scraps!!  They just never seem to go anywhere, no matter how much I use them!!  The edges were distressed with Tim Holtz's ink in "Tea Dye" and "Vintage Photo".  The flowers, in the corner, and tag, in opposite corner, are from K & Cos. "Paper Boxes".  (Rhinestones and stickles added, of course)!

Simon says ,,,,,, Pearls and Lace :-)
This week we would like to see

PEARLS AND LACE on your creations :-)

If you don't have pearl gems you can use pearly buttons, pearl glimmer mist, liquid pearls, perfect pearls,,, pearlescent card ,,, lots of possibilities and the lace can be paper lace, lacey design paper, lacey border punch ,,, not necessarily fabric lace.
For my "pearls" I used Polymark paint.  The card paper is Crate Paper and the middle section of paper is from K & Co.

This week our challenge is PAPER PIECING !

For those of you who have no idea what paper piecing is, you stamp your image onto white card and also onto patterned paper. You then cut out the shapes you want from the patterned paper and glue it to your image on the white card. You can paper piece anything but its usually clothing and accessories.
I used different scrap pieces from MME's "Fall In Love".  I also used this card for the Stamping Scrapping #4 challenge.

Simon Says ,,,, There ain't no cure for the Summertime Blues :-)

See this is why I don't like using the same card for more than one challenge!!!  This is the card that was SUPPOSED to be used for this challenge.  It does not take much to confuse me anymore (obviously).  The paper is from MME and the ribbon & flowers are from the never ending stash.

Airfactory DT Call Card

I just found this really cool new site called Air Factory .  They are currently having a DT call.  This is the card that I made using one of their free digi stamps.  This little guy is just way too cute, so expect to see more of him on other challenges.
Other challenges entering this card for:
Simon Says challenge- "Ain't no cure for the summertime blues"
Papertake-"Something old, new, borrowed, or blue"
Flourishes-sketch

I hate doing this sort of thing.  Besides getting confused, it's not really any fun.  I was just sick for a while and didn't have enough time
