Challenge #2
Bring on the Babies

Hope everyone enjoyed the first every
Kelley Kids Challenge. Congratulations to all of those of you who won. And if you were one of the unlucky ones who didn't win, just keep on trying!! You'll win eventually.
For our second challenge, we want you to use baby digi's. I used the "Freedom" digi. How can you pass up this cute little butt? You know we all have pictures like this. The papers are from the endless stash. I used the Labels die in three different sizes. The sentiment is from my computer that I had embossed with "Tea Dye". It's tough to add just the right amount of embellies and not go over board for a card with a little boy on it.
Recipe: digi Kelley's Kids "Freedom", papers-stash, bows-Sweet Touch, flowers-Colorbok, distress ink-"Tea Dye".
Wood Hanging
I decided to make a second project for this. First I had to cut and sand down a piece of wood. Then I added a coat of green acrylic paint. Once it was dry, I painted on a pretty thick coat of old fashion crackle gel. No short cuts on this project. Depending on how big you want your crackles, is how thick or thin you add the crackle gel. Once it dried to a tacky feel, I added the light gold color. I picked the colors to match my bathroom. I added the raffia to the wires for just a punch of something(?)...
The frame is from the "Poppies" kit from Heather Jolly. Using a new program I've been playing with, I inserted the digi and then added the words. If you look at the closeup, you can see that I used Ranger's Distress Stickles in "Frosted Lace" for the pitcher and bowl to give them an aged look.
Hope you like both of my projects...
