Mrs. Peter Rabbit Series ATC's cards with box

    July 11
Nicecrane Designs
Mrs. Peter Rabbit Series ATC's
with Fascinating Fantasy Paper

I made the box with Bazzill paper, ribbon sprayed with Glimmer Mist in "Garden Fairy" and flowers from K & Co decorated with stickles and  rhinestones.

To make the card I used the same Bazzill paper as the box and  paper from the Fascinating Fantasy Paper pack.  I sprayed the patterned paper with a clear glimmer mist that I had made from water and Perfect Pearls.  I then added the same flowers to match the box and made the folded frames to put the ATC pictures in.  You can find all the directions for them online here at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/.

There are 8 pics in the set but I only used 5 different ones for the card set that I made.  Each card will all be exactly the same, except that each one will have a different ATC picture in the center.

Here's one of them.  I won't make this post too long by showing you every single one of them.

Toucan Scraps Flower Picking Box

Toucan Scraps
Flower Picking Box

I sort of messed up a OSAAT challenge.  I was suppose to use congrts wording from Toucan Scraps.  Problem was, I forgot that the challenge was either weddding or sypmathy--oops.  I guess this didn't exactly fit either one.
At least now I have another pretty gift box on hand.  The box is really easy to make.  All you need to do is print it out and put it together, folding where is says to and cut where is says to.  Easy, peasy!!

I added some ribbon and lace, rhinestones, and distressed the tag with distress ink in Tea Dye from tim Holtz.

Wedding Box

A friend of mine wanted me to make a wedding card for her (it's so much easier if someone just picks out one that I've already made-umph).

She gave me some colors, but it was kind of hard to get exact colors.  After tons of  emails (cause we don't really know each other, personally), this is what I came up with. I added some Perfect Pearls on the hard white part of the flower.  You can't tell on the far away pic, but you can on the closeup (sort of).  The flowers, beads, and silver metal leaves I got on clearance at our local craft store.  They we all parts of something else that I took apart.  Pretty clever, don't you think? haha

If you're wondering why I'm posting the just the box without the card is that I am waiting for ink for my printer to come in, so I can't print anything for the card.  I will post the card that goes with this when I am done.

Recipe:  paper-Bazzill, stickers-Stickopotomus,"Perfect Pearls" Ranger and the flowers, beads, and silver metal leaves are pieces of things that I took apart

 Wedding Card
I finally got my ink---yea.  I couldn't wait to get started on this project.  I had a deadline, so with making it and shipping time, I have to admit, I was a little worried.
When Heather gave me the poem she wanted to use for the card I knew this was the digi that I wanted to use.  It's from Floppy Latte Designs (who is part of Stitchy Bear Stamps).  I had a friend of mine put the poem inside the box, as I don't have any programs for this kind of stuff.  As with the box, the big white flower and the silver leaves was something I bought on clearance and took apart.  The middle little plastic flower parts I just got in the mail.  They're from Creative Charms.  They are blue but look sort of purple.
On both the inside and outside of the card, I used the same digi, but rotated it and added stickles and pearls.  Although you can't tell in the pic, I used the Spica markers in "buttermilk" for the little stamons (things in the middle of the flower-I think that's what they are called) and "sand" for the stems.  It gives them a little shimmer and added stickles to the center of  the flowers and edge of the frame in "diamond"   I added a piece of paper to the front of the slit on the middle section that I cut with both punches.  The ribbon is stash.

Recipe (for card) paper- Bazzill (2 shades of purple), digi-Floppy Latte Designs "Lily Frame", markers-Copics, at you "Spica", Marvy "Le Plume III-silver", American Crafts "Metalics", stickles-Ranger "diamond", punch-Martha Stewart "Botanical Scallop"and ribbon punch (unknown), pearls-Hero Arts "purple" and Kaiser Crafts "white", dies-Nesties "Labels 10", ribbon-stash

The Corrosive Challenge Blog #100

"Reuse, Reduce, Recycle"

I found this blog when I was checking out Chris' blog http://cattsscratchingpost.blogspot.com/.   The idea is to use something recycled on your card! Could be brown paper, or ribbon from another gift (or handles on gift bags work), etc.

I went with this box of chocolates that my husband got for Christmas.  He's a mailman and for some reason this year, he got lots of chocalates this year.  We ended up giving most of them away, though.

I used paper and rub ons from American Crafts "Botanique" line.  The top of the box is the sparkley side and the sides are the back that is the plain side.  I added flowers from Prima's "Fleur de Prima", bead strings in white, some peach and blue ribbon and stickles on the side to match the top.

Here's one of the sides of the box and a close up of the stickeled part.

k & co boxes

On the inside, I cut a chunk of the green stuff for floral arranging and wrapped it in matching paper, so it would be easier to put a gift in.

Altered box

This was one of those boxes from K & Co. that chipboard letters came in.  The picture is of my neice at 6 mos.  The top cover is painted with Tim Holtz "Peeled Paint" distress paint.  The "S" was cut out and glued onto a piece of metal art with modge podge, as with the lacey borders.  The butterfly came from Grace Children.  You can visit their website at http://www.gracefulribbons.com/ for more of their beautiful butterflies and ribbon.
