Incy Wincy #125 Dec 26th Winter Wonderland

Prize 4 Digi's at Meljens Designs Store

This week the design team got to play with some really cute digi's from Meljens Designs.   Mine is called "Mouse Skiing".  I been sick of making Christmas cards for ahile now, so I decided to make something else, a gift bag.  I've had a Paper Boxes kit from K & Co. for a few years.  I've used a couple of them, but not too many.  I decided this was a good gift to make for one of my neighbors.  She's kind of old and a little bit disabled, so I thought it would be a good way to cheer her up.
I printed out the digi really small, cut it out in one of the small circle dies and colored it with my Copics and distressed the edges in distress ink in "Tea Dye" by Tim Holtz.  I added the digi to one of the flowers, cut out a tag from other parts of different boxes, added a bow from Martha Stewart and little beige pearls inside the loops of the tag and to the edges of the box.  I also wrapped some antique lace around the box.

Here's what the top of the box looks like.  The blue flower is from Prima, which I added another pearl to.  I glued it to other flowers that I got from my stash.
After all that work, I had to make a card to go with it!!  Oh well...I used the same digi, just a little bigger, coloring it and cutting it out the exact same way so it would be matchy matchy.  I used the same lace, "waterfall" stickles and the same bow as I did on the box, adding a button on each edge of the lace.  The paper (brown) is also from K & Co., but it's from the McKenna line.  The tag is from the box kit, which I stamped with an ANM stamp and Rubber Stampede ink and the blue paper is scrap, also from the box kit.  The large snowflake is a Martha Stewart punch with "waterfall" stickles layered with a little snowflake punch (I think it's from Cutting Edge) with "diamond" stickles on it.  I really hope she likes it...I plan on filling the box with little candies.
Here's an update.....I gave this to my friend and she ABSOLUTLY loved it!!  She just went on and on about how pretty it is and how she couldn't wait to show it off to people....made my day!!  And I was having an absolutly crappy one!!!

CDAC progressive Challenge #7 Nov 15th

This is the 7th week of the CDAC Progressive Challenges.  I picked my digi from Ginger Loft called "Bailey with Honey Bees".  I did one like this while ago for a DT that I was on last year.  I liked the way it came out so much with the yellow & black, that I did kind of the same thing again.  The butterfly is from Jenny Bowlin and the paper is from Floppy Lattes Digital Designs.  The little bee on top of the tree is from the other digi that I printed out from Ginger Loft, colored and added stickles to the wings.

For the inside, I added paper from Fred-She-Said, that I got from another DT that I'm on.  I also I used another digi that we could pick from.  The sentiment is from Sending Treasures.  I think it fits perfectly!!

Animals Digi's

I made this card for my husband for our 8th Anniversary.   We're not really serious types of people, so I though it would be cute.  My husband felt bad because he didn't get me a card, but usually we're lucky if we even remember it.  The only way I did was cause I was smart enough to set it up in my Google calender, so I was reminded.  But I did mess up, cause I have it set up and it said it was 7 yrs. but it was actually 8 yrs.  oh well,....

Here's a close up...

I didn't get a chance to post this before I left for our vacation, since part of the vacation was celebrating it on the cruise, so I'm posting it now.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

OSAAT #65 Graduation/Schools Out

 5 June 11
Graduation/School's Out

This week I got to pick out a digi from Stef of Glitterbabes.  I chose these two cute little doggies, but wasn't sure how I was going to make them work for graduation.  It took me awhile to come up with an idea for this card.

I decided to make a gift card holder card (not sure what the correct name is), because what graduate doesn't need money??
I used four different papers for this card.  Three of them are from Panda Bear Designs "Born To Shop" line and the green one on the inside is from JLJ Designs "St. Patrick's Day" line.  You can find all the papers and digi at Stitchy Bear Stamps.

The bottom pictures show the inside written part and the place to put the gift card.  I cut two different pieces of paper to hide the slit.

This weeks winner get 5 Promarkers from Creative Craft World...

Recipe: digi-GlitterBabes "Best Friends", paper-Panda Bear Designs "Let's Go Shopping" and JLJ Designs "St. Patricks Day", stickers-Crafts Elet and EK Success, stamp-ANM, ink-Rubber Stampede, punch-Martha Stewart "Botanical Scallop".

Nicecrane Designs-Peter Rabbit Series

Peter Rabbit Series

Here's a card that I made using Nicecrane Designs new Peter Rabbit Series.  This whole series is just so adorable.

I tired making something new with this card.  It's called a Recessed Window Card.

I like this card, but need to practise...ha ha.

It took me about 3 or 4 times just to try and get the folds right. Just an FYI, though. If you try this off Splitcoasters, the printed directions tell you to fold the card in half, but you actually have to fold it twice to make the side, so check the video directions. The two pictures below are the inside of the card and a close-up of the crackled digi.

You can find all the info on Splitcoast Stampers site at- http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/recessedwindow/.

Recipe:  digi-Nicecrane Designs "Peter Rabbit Series", paper-Glitz "Vintage" and Floppy Latte Designs "Vintage", rhinestones and flowers-Prima "e.", Glimmer Mist-"Coffee Shop" and "Yellow Daisy's" (flowers on front of card), Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint "Clear Rock Candy", stash-brads and dark brown card stock and the saying came from http://www.verses4cards.co.uk/leaving-verses-poems-quotes.html.

You can find the Peter Rabbit Series here: http://nicecranedesigns.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=20_86.
I would like to add my card to the following challenges:  Colour Create Challenge #71 (white, cream, & brown)        abc-challenge U is for..unusal fold (recessed window)       Ooh-la-la-creations Challenges #80 fancy fold (recessed window)                                                                                  Pixie Dust Studio Challenge #75 Back in time

Challenge #73 ~ ****Happy Birthday!****
Welcome back House Mouse lovers! We're super excited this week because we have a big SURPRISE for one of the House Mouse & Friends Design Team members!
Our very own wonderful sistah ~ America Kuhn ~ had a birthday yesterday! Sooooooooo, we thought it would be fun to throw a surprise party for her!! She and her family are in the midst of relocating and traveling across the USA to their new home. She has no idea we are doing this ~ but, since she does have Internet access during her trip, won't she be surprised when she visits the blog today.
Miss America ~ we love ya!
We'd love to have EVERYONE join us for this challenge in making a Happy Birthday card or project!
