Dec 19th Challenge #124 Circle card

Prize is a $16 GC to the store
YEA!!  I remembered to post my card on time this week!!  he he...
Can you tell by my card what the challenge is this week?  If you guessed circle cards, the you right!!  Now these have to be one of my worst cards to make.  I just can't seem to get them to look right.  My digi that I picked is called "My Prince".  I cut out the green paper with the scallop circle die and the rest of the card I used different sized of the flower dies.  The bow is from Martha Stewart, brads, flowers, and gold studs are from my stash and the rub on is from My Sentiments Exactly.

Nettie G's Digital Gems Sketch Challenge

This is the sketch for this challenge.  I loved doing this challenge.  The digi was something I don't usually do.  I have a hard time coloring people.  I can't ever get  the coloring right for the skin, but I think this one came out ok.

Recipe:  stamp: Danielle Johnson,  distress ink: "tea dye",  ink: Rubber Stampede,  paper: Basic Grey "Wisteria",  ribbon: "Fancy",  Nesties Dies: ""labels 4" & "scalloped ovals", misc: flowers

AiFactory Challenge #51

AIF Challenge # 51  Embossing

This challenge was all about embossing.  It all depends on which kind you choose.  I did the dry embossing.  First I embossed the circles (by hand, I might add, because I still do not own a Cuttle Bug).  Then I Glimmer Misted the entire card in Tiger Glaze.  Next came the sanding part.  You'll have to play around with this to get your desired effet.  It removes some of the Glimmer Mist and brings the embossed parts to the surface.  Some of the parts of flowers are stickled (although, it's hard to tell.  And yes!!  I need a new one of those, too).

Thanx for joining us over at AIF for this weeks challenge. You do not need to use AIF digis, but feel free to pick up the freebies here. By using an AIF digi-you get your name entered twice into that weeks challenge. Check back often, you never know which designer is adding more. Just make sure you take part in the challenges.

You could be the next winner of this weeks images!!
Check out the other DT members blogs for their take on tis challenge...

This is the card that I came up with for the CDAC pocket challenge.  Plus you had to use lavender, pink, white, and cocoa for colors.
The digi is from Meljen's Designs.  It was a freebie for hitting 200 members.  You can find more here.  They are very cute.

Challenge #35 - Easel Cards
Hello Mo fans... welcome to our challenge for this week
Sheila continues as our hostess and this week her challenge is for us to make easel cards.. you know, those cards that look so difficult to make but they are really are a lot easier than we think they are going to be! If you need a bit of help here's a tutorial.. you will be amazed at how much fun these are to put together. And, it makes such a stunning card that it's a gift in itself.
