Nicecrane Designs-Peter Rabbit Series

Peter Rabbit Series

Here's a card that I made using Nicecrane Designs new Peter Rabbit Series.  This whole series is just so adorable.

I tired making something new with this card.  It's called a Recessed Window Card.

I like this card, but need to practise...ha ha.

It took me about 3 or 4 times just to try and get the folds right. Just an FYI, though. If you try this off Splitcoasters, the printed directions tell you to fold the card in half, but you actually have to fold it twice to make the side, so check the video directions. The two pictures below are the inside of the card and a close-up of the crackled digi.

You can find all the info on Splitcoast Stampers site at- http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/recessedwindow/.

Recipe:  digi-Nicecrane Designs "Peter Rabbit Series", paper-Glitz "Vintage" and Floppy Latte Designs "Vintage", rhinestones and flowers-Prima "e.", Glimmer Mist-"Coffee Shop" and "Yellow Daisy's" (flowers on front of card), Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint "Clear Rock Candy", stash-brads and dark brown card stock and the saying came from http://www.verses4cards.co.uk/leaving-verses-poems-quotes.html.

You can find the Peter Rabbit Series here: http://nicecranedesigns.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=20_86.
I would like to add my card to the following challenges:  Colour Create Challenge #71 (white, cream, & brown)        abc-challenge U is for..unusal fold (recessed window)       Ooh-la-la-creations Challenges #80 fancy fold (recessed window)                                                                                  Pixie Dust Studio Challenge #75 Back in time

Challenge # 45 a sketch with a theme

This week Dani made another great sketch for us,  But this time the sketch also has a theme :

choose one of the following themes:

Halloween,
"Think Pink" (for Breast Cancer Awareness Month) or Fall.

I went with the fall colors.  I usually don't switch sketch's around too much, but I did with this one.  Hopefully, you can still see the sketch.   This card was made with all scraps.  They just never seem to dwindle down.  The digi is from Nana Vic.  It's a "Vickie Quickie", as she calls it.  It's only available through this weekend at CDAC.  I also used alot of distress inks on this card in greens and browns.

Challenge # 44 " Fall into Fall "
The fall has started, it is getting colder and the leaves have such beautifull colors.

So the new challenge is:      " Fall into Fall "

Create a card/project with a fall theme to it! Think leaves and warm colors, like deep browns, purples, reds...
I used a fall paper and colord my digi with fall colors, but seriously, how many fall cards can one person make?  So I made mine into a birthday card.  I used at least 3 different colors of distress ink (browns & greens) and added gold stickles and pearls.

Challenge # 41 Sketch

I love the little Ginger bead man.  I think he just just too cute.  For the "frosting on his hands and legs, I used Polymark paint.  Then of course, I had to add all the embellies.  Ribbon is Maya Road, punch-Martha Stewarts "Doily Lace", and the brads for his buttons are American Crafts.  I just cut off the flaps on the back to make them lay flater.

Simon Says....Shiver Me Timbers, Thar Be a Pirate!
Ahoy Challengers!!!
We be setting sail on a new challenge this week - can ye guess what the theme be? Aye, me hearties, it is, PIRATES!!!! Arghhhhh!!!!
Although all of the DT's cards were made with the Magnolia stamp, I didn't have that one, so I had to get creative with my card.  Pixie Dust Studio had this great digi download.  I also had some scrap "water" paper.  I stamped the rocks and grass to make it look a little more real.  The rock stamp is from "The Land of Make Believe" from Rubber Stampede.
Oh, btw, my pirate name is "Pirate Jane the Sword Test Dummy".  Nice huh?  You can get your own names here from Name Generator.  I kept trting to get a different one, but it wouldn't let me...haha

Pixie Dust Studio Challenge

This week's challenge is another Twilight Saga inspired one!

The movie is almost here! We couldn't help but continue on with the sparkly celebration :)

The Pixie's and I challenge you to use this Twilighty color combination:

Red White Black and/or Silver
I used all 4 colors and added stickles to her shoes, buckles on her shirt, and the silver part of the jacket.  I don't have silver markers, so I used a silver ink pad and q-tips.

Pixie Dust Studio Challenge

First, this week's challenge #26 is...

"What Twilight Means To YOU!"

"Twilight means so many things to so many people - love, romance, Edward, sparkle... The association of colors - I will always relate the color combo of Red, White, Black (Silver) to Twilight... to you it may be all, some or none of these things! What's yours?! and if you are not a Twilighter {gasp!}, where did you draw your inspiration from? The trailers? Books? Colors?
I have absolutely no idea about Twilight (the movie or books), so I took my inspiration from the colors of the sunset just before it goes dark, with the oranges and purples.
