My Partner in Crime #34 Color Challenge

My Partner in Crime Challenge #34

I saw these colors and immediately fell in love with them.  I knew they would be perfect with my new papers from K & Co's "McKenna" set.  Plus I had this digi that I found a while ago online, but can't remember where from.  I followed the sketch from the Totally Gorjuss challenge this week, and found the sentiment from http://www.guy-sports.com/humor/christmas/thanksgiving_turkey.htm, which I think  fits just perfectly!!

Karen's Doodles Check It Out Sept 12th

I used my new digi that I won from a couple of challenges ago at Karens Doodles.  I used the "Turkey Trot" digi with checked and striped papers I found online at Shabby Princess.  (Sorry Heather...).   They have the great fall colors.  The tag  is from one of Heather's set that I tried to play with the colors to match my card using Gimp and added the line to.  The turkey reminded of the cows on the Chick Filet commercial.  I followed the sketch from Eat Sleep Stamp Challenge

Challenges entered:
Our Craft Lounge #83 Color (Fall)
Digi Doodle Shops Best #76 Autumn Colors
Happileigh Challenge #39 Fall

AiFactory Blog Hop

Oct 22nd-24th
Welcome to the AiFactory New Release blog hop! This weekend the Design Team will be showcasing some brand new images that will be available in the store on October 25th! These images are perfect, just in time for Halloween and Thanksgiving!

You should have arrived here from Rhonda's blog. If you are just starting here or have lost your way, you need to head back to the challenge blog and start from there so that you don’t miss out on anything! As you visit each blog, make sure you leave a comment! At the end of the hop 3 random winners will be drawn from 3 DT blogs but shhhhh it’s a secret as to which ones the winner’s will come from so make sure you comment on each one so you don’t miss your chance to win!

Here's a surprise along the way...
A freebie from the collection.
Just right click and save to your computer.

1st Prize is a $10 Gift certificate to the AIFactory store
You never know, there may be other spot prizes to win along the way as well so make sure you hit each DT blog!

I'm not sure who the paper is from.  I got it when I first started scrapping in a misc. stack, but now I'm glad I saved it because it certainly fits.  The ribbon is from my stash.  The pearl brads are from American Crafts and the fabric ones are from 7 Gypsies.  This is the first time I've used the fabric brads.  Anyhow-hope you like it and keep hopping along.

Now head on over to Laralee's blog and see what great things she has in store for you! Thanks for stopping by, and don’t forget to leave a comment because the winner could be you!

Now that this has posted, I can say I am also entering this card into the Simon Says "Thanksgiving" challenge.

AiFactory New Release

Oct 10, 2010

 ***New Release***

All the DT members were given an image to work with from the new release.  This is the one that was given to me.  Isn't she just too adorable?

The paper is from my scrap collection.  I cut out some leaves form another paper and glued them down the sides.  A few stickles were added here and there, of course.
You can find them in the store here.

Be sure and check out all the other DT members projects and leave them some love...

happy thanksgiving card

This is a card challenge for Scrap That.  The challenge was to add a picture to a card.  I used Tim's distress embossing powder in "Vintage Photo" for the words.  This is my daughter at 7 mos. on Thanksgiving in 1995.  My mom gave her the whole chicken leg and she just went to town on it.  It was just way too friggin funny!!
