Sept 3rd-- "Cookin It Up With Tori" Wall Hanging

My sister took this picture of my niece when she was 1  year old, so like all my pictures, I scrapped it.  Not too long ago, Bonna, from Kelley's Kids asked the DT if we had any pictures that we wouldn't mind if she used for inspiration so I sent her a couple and she used this one.  How can you not!!  Tori just looks too cute sitting in the pot on the stove...                                                       Well, this is what I did with the digi that she came up with.  I thought it would be a  pretty cool as a wall hanging.  And if you've seen my blog lately, I've made a few of them.
"Cookin' It Up With Tori"   Wooden Wall Hanging
.

I cut and sanded a scrap piece of wood that I had and painted it in a deep red.  The dot's we added with the end of a paint brush.  I did have some trouble trying to paint the words and making the border by hand, since I didn't have a paint marker in white.  And you can't see the on the edges of the words, but I added a shadow in black to the outside of each letter.  Oh weel... I added the flower and raffia a final touch, with the brad holding the flowers together.  Hope you get just a little giggle out of it to brighten your day!!
