A student was asked by a teacher,
"What is it like to be a child?"
The child replied, "It is like being a pumpkin.
Your mom and dad pick you from the patch, bring you in,
and wash all the dirt off of you.
Then they cut off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff.
They remove the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed.
Then they carve you a new smiling face and
put their light inside of you to shine for all the world to see."
This was passed on to me by another pumpkin.
I liked this enough to send it to all the pumpkins in my patch.
