Nicecrane Designs 29 Aug 11

Nicecrane Designs

I'm still without ink when I made this card.  The girl in the blue came from the Flower Children Bookmarks.  I cut her out, decorating her with stickles on her dress and crackle paint in "Rock Candy" on her hat, and the saying.  The papers are scrap also from Nicecrane Designs.  I burnt, distressed, and inked them up, glueing them here and there.  The birds and flowers were cut out of pieces from the scraps, also.  I also added the crackle paint to the flower and popped the birds).  To finish it up, I added lace, a button (that sort of looks like rock), and the pin.  I think they are called hat pins, but not sure.  If anyone knows for sure, would you let me know, please?...thanx.

Here's some close ups-

This is one of the new digi's in this series.  I love this set.  It's so cool.  Of course, all his works are.  I distressed the edges with ink and a distresser tool.  I did that to all the edges of the paper, added ribbon, and some metal pieces.  The papers are a mix from three different designers.

I followed the sketch from Magical Monday Challenge for this card.  I just works so well.  I love how it came out.
Recipe: digi-Nicecrane Designs "Little Angels", paper-Nicecrane Designs "Voynich Manuscripts", Marks Paper Co "August Collection" and Bo Bunny "Mama Razzi",  distress ink-Tim Holtz "Walnut Stain" & "Vintage Photo", dies-circle and scallop circle, stamp-Just Rite, metal pieces-scrap.

Peter Rabbit Series

Here's a card that I made using Nicecrane Designs new Peter Rabbit Series.  This whole series is just so adorable.

I tired making something new with this card.  It's called a Recessed Window Card.

I like this card, but need to practise...ha ha.

It took me about 3 or 4 times just to try and get the folds right. Just an FYI, though. If you try this off Splitcoasters, the printed directions tell you to fold the card in half, but you actually have to fold it twice to make the side, so check the video directions. The two pictures below are the inside of the card and a close-up of the crackled digi.

You can find all the info on Splitcoast Stampers site at- http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/recessedwindow/.

Recipe:  digi-Nicecrane Designs "Peter Rabbit Series", paper-Glitz "Vintage" and Floppy Latte Designs "Vintage", rhinestones and flowers-Prima "e.", Glimmer Mist-"Coffee Shop" and "Yellow Daisy's" (flowers on front of card), Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint "Clear Rock Candy", stash-brads and dark brown card stock and the saying came from http://www.verses4cards.co.uk/leaving-verses-poems-quotes.html.

You can find the Peter Rabbit Series here: http://nicecranedesigns.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=20_86.

Hope you enjoy...

Totally Stampalicious Challenge

Posted by Totally Stampalicious at 10:01 PM 0 comments A dash of this, a pinch of that, and don't forget a splash of RED!                                       This week we want to see you use a SPLASH OF RED on your cards or projects. Use whatever other colors you want but we want to see your SPLASH OF RED!    I sponge painted the inside of the image with Tim Holtz's "Tea Dye" distress ink and added "Diamond" stickles on the border.

Basic Grey Challenge #6

Week 22 – A Colour Combo by Heather

Hey hey all, time for another BasicGrey Challenge :)
A colour Combo by Heather

For this Challenge we would like you to use the following Colour Combo which was chosen by our fab DT Member Heather :)

I used BG's Lemonade paper.  The edges were cut using martha Stewarts "Floral Lace" border punch.  The stamp is from Bildmalarna and the stamp is from Stamp Affair and stamped with T. Holtz's "Vintage Photo".  For some reason the turquoise didn't come out the right color in my picture.  Sorry about that...

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC64)!

This challenge was to make a "vintage" card, which leaves it wide open.  The challenge is in your mind.  What ever you think vintage is.  To me, here's what vintage is.  Actually, I love anything vintage.  For my card, I printed off two copies of the flower.  Both were on velum.  The first copy I glued to Bazzill cardstock.  The second copy I cut out and mounted with 3/8" adhesive squares and added distress crackles paint and stickles from Tim Holtz to them.  Then I added the lace, buttons, and stamped the saying (from Stampin Up).

Bo Bunny Layout Challenge Friday, April 23

Another Friday, another Bo Bunny layout challenge.  Here's my attempt for this challenge.  The paper is "Mama-Razzi" (yea!!!  I finally got some Bo Bunny paper and love it), stamps are from Autumn Leaves, inks are Tim Holtz's distress inks in both "Tea Dye" & "Weathered Wood" along with the distress stickles in "Faded Jeans".

Scrap That sketch challenge

Here's this weeks layout challenge for  Scrap That.  I used MME's "Fall In Love" paper, Tim Holtz's "Vintage Photo" for both the embossing ink and powder, and MSE's rub-ons.

Camping trip, Aug., 2009

This is our camping trip to Majors Campground in Concan, TX on the Frio River. I highly reccommend it!!!
I used just about every designer and types of scrapping you can think of. These are my favorite types of scrapping to do. I just love making mini-albums.
Sorry it's so long, I'm still figuring out how to play with it.  I was trying to get the pages into two columns, but it wouldn't work.

FTTC60

It is the last Tuesday of the month so we have us a challenge host. This month’s challenge host is Denise Marzec(Peanutbee)! Denise is challenging us to an Inspiration Challenge! Denise has chosen three gorgeous pictures to get inspired by for our cardmaking.  The top pic was the one I chose for my inspiration.  I pulled the turquoise from the bad frame and the maroonish and beige from the rug on the floor.  The paper is MME's "Fall In Love", diecuts-Tim Coffee, stamps-MSE, and distress ink and embossing powder is Tim Holtzs' "weathered wood".  The bottom pic is the inside of the card (but I'm not happy w/it)!!

Thank You card

This is just a card I made for my father-in-law for sending me b-day money.  Paper is scraps (which I'm still trying to get rid of); stamps-inkadinkado, tim holtz, & danelle johnson; ink-colorbox, rubber stampede, martha stewart pens, & tim's clear embossing & tea dye ink; embossing powder-weathered wood ditress; misc-stickles, polymark pnt, & fiskars heritage punch.

FTTC38 painting challenge

This was a hard one for me.  You had to paint using any kind of medium.  I chose chalk from EK Success.  The big stamp is "Tulip" from Stamp Happens. Inc. and the quote is from TH Visual Artistry Collec.  The butterfly & dragonfly were cut out of velum and decorated using TH's alcohol inks & distress crackle paint.
