Feb 6th Bugaboo (Love-pink, black & white)

6 Feb 11
Challenge #132
Recipe (1 image, 2 pp, 3 embellies)

Although we are already in the month of February, this is actually the first challenge that I have done this year.  All of my other cards I finished at the end of last year and had them set to post, so I haven't done anything crafty this year!  I came down with a bad case of Walking Pneumonia for the whole month of January!!  I have to say, it feels good to be finally getting well and back to doing crafts again!

OK- now on to this weeks challenge at Incy Wincy Designs.
With Valentine's Day coming up, that's what we want you to do this week, but only using the colors white, black and pink.  We got to use Bugaboo digi's for this weeks challenge, so I had to use non other than the fab Stella!!  I colored and cut her out, sticking her on a piece of white cs that I cut out using the "Lattice Rectangle" die with stickles on the edges.  The ribbon is from my stash, tag is from Cosmo Cricut, one of the first craft kits I ever bought and hearts I got from my friend, Elaine.
Winner gets 7 digi's!!

Kenny K #31

This weeks theme is a Color combo, And we would like to see

(A card for your Sweet Heart)

This is the inspiration picture for this weeks color challenge over at Kenny K's.  It also has to be a card for your sweetheart.  I made mine for my hubby. I know-last minute.  I sold the other ones that I had made.  That and I didn't make too many this year because we are remodeling our master bedroom and bathroom and it's next to impossible to find anything or even get to it!!

The digi is the freebie image from Jan (you gotta love those freebies)!!

Paper-MME "Be Loved" & Nicecrane Designs "Mystique Nature"
Nesties Dies-Labels

**I added the link to Nicecrane Designs because I had gotten a $10 GC, but being techno challenged that I am, had problems separating the papers fro individual print outs. Ignazio helped me out and answered all the emails that I sent right away, so I had to give a big shout out-thanx (although he probably will never see this)...

OK-I just went to post my card and they are already on to another challenge..grrrrr.  That's what I get for procrastinating.

Love (Use Red, White, and Pink)

This weeks challenge is all about Valentines Day and the pretty colors that go with it.

We are being sponsored by Di's Digi Downloads.  She was nice enough to let each of us pick out our own digi.  They are just too friggin cute.  it was hard to pick just one.  There's a Valentine freebie on the home page that's gonna be downloaded by me as soon as I finish this post.  It's sooo cute!!

It's also gonna be my job to put up this post on the challenge blog this week, which I've never done before, so you'll have to give me a break if it comes out wrong.

Sketch

This weeks challenge was a sketch by Bev.  It helps
put a card together, but I always seem to have problems
not making the card look bulky, when it's lots of layers
(plus borders) need to be added to a card.  The image
is a Kenny K's January freebie
The paper is from Making Memories and scraps, "Double Heart Punch" is EK Success, and the stamp in the middle of the heart is from Stampin' Up.  I also added the brads to kind of keep it together and for the FTTC to "use hardware".

I'm made this card to also fit the following challenges:
FTTC #102-Use Hardware
Simon Says-Animal Antics

Simon Says 1-19

                                       Simon Says "Let's Play Bingo"

So, for this challenge its simple ! You just choose 3 items that are in a straight line and it can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal so for instance you could choose brads, lace and gems or punch/die cuts, flowers and gems - simple !    I went with the straight from bottom to top right-ribbon/glitter/gem.  Paper is MME's "Be Loved", letters-Basic Grey's "Lime Rickey", and chipboard-MME's "Laundry Line".
The digi is from Pixie Dust for the DT call.  I haven't decided wether or not I want to do another Design Team right now or not.

Tri-fold card

This card could could be used for anything, but I chose Valentines.  I used the tri-fold method.  It's hard to tell, but the branch and leaves on the right bottom tuck under the bottom flower to keep it closed.  The second picture shows where the flower is placed so the branch can tuck under it.
The paper, flowers, & leaves are from Crate Paper (sprinkled w/skickles) and the stamps are ANM & Danelle Johnson.

Here's a great idea from Lori at http://inkingaloud.blogspot.com/.   it could also be changed for any holiday by just changing the paper. You can find all the instructions and materials needed at http://inkingaloud.blogspot.com/2010/02/slide-top-pencil-box-treat.html.  Thanx to Lori for letting me share this cute idea with you.

What's Your Cup of Tea? Challenge! (FTT)

This challenge was to pick colors from your favorite beverage and make a card using those colors.  Although I would've preferred using Bud Light, I liked these colors better (but I like the taste of the beer better). haha  The stamp is   from All Night Media, colored pencils-Rose Art, and misc. stuff includes the ribbon and paper.

more valentines day cards

Here's two more I made for my nieces.  The paper is misc. scraps (still my goal to finishing using up) and the caricatures are cut using cricut.  The charm on Ariel is actually one of my nieces b-day present but looked better on her with the beads.

Valentines Day Card

I hand embossed this one and added little rhinestones for a pop of bling.
